Relativity!

"Not everything that can be counted counts, and not everything that counts can be counted."

Albert Einstein,
German Scientist, March 14, 1879 - April 18, 1955
Albert Einstein was born on March 14, 1879 at Ulm in Wurttemberg, Germany and died on April 18, 1955 at Princeton, New Jersey. His family moved to Munich six weeks later after his birth and he began his schooling at the Luitpold Gymnasium.

Albert Einstein's family moved again but to Italy that time. Albert Einstein continued his education at Aarau, Switzerland. In 1896 he entered the Swiss Federal Polytechnic School in Zurich. He was trained as a teacher in physics and mathematics.

Albert Einstein acquired Swiss citizenship in 1901 as he gained his diploma. As Albert Einstein was unable to find a teaching post, he accepted a position as a technical assistant in the Swiss Patent Office, where he produced much of his remarkable work.

Albert Einstein obtained his doctor's degree in 1905, and in 1908 he was appointed Privatdozent (which is a title and a position in the European university system, especially in German-speaking countries, for someone who wants to become a university professor) in Berne.
Albert Einstein became Professor Extraordinary at Zurich in 1909, and Professor of Theoretical Physics at Prague in 1911. He returned to Zurich the following year to engage in a similar post.

Albert Einstein appointed Director of the Kaiser Wilhelm Physical Institute and Professor in the University of Berlin in 1914. He postulated that the correct interpretation of the special theory of relativity must also furnish a theory of gravitation, and he published his paper on the general theory of relativity in 1916.

Albert Einstein became a German citizen in 1914, and he renounced his citizenship for political reasons and emigrated to America in 1933 to take the position of Professor of Theoretical Physics at Princeton. Albert Einstein won the Nobel Prize in Physics in 1921.

Albert Einstein became a United States citizen in 1940 and retired from his post in 1945.

He was a leading figure in the World Government Movement after the Second World War. He was offered the Presidency of the State of Israel, which he declined, and he collaborated with Dr. Chaim Weizmann in establishing the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.

Albert Einstein's investigations in the thermal properties of light with a low radiation density laid the foundation of the photon theory of light. He realized the inadequacies of Newtonian mechanics and his theory of relativity stemmed from an attempt to reconcile the laws of mechanics with the laws of the electromagnetic field.

Albert Einstein received also honorary doctorate degrees in science, medicine and philosophy from many American and European universities.

Albert Einstein's researches and other work include: Special Theory of Relativity in 1905, General Theory of Relativity in 1916, Investigations on Theory of Brownian Movement in 1926, Why War? in 1933, My Philosophy in 1934, and The Evolution of Physics in 1938.
