George Lucas


George Lucas was born on 14 May 1944 in Modesto, California. His father was a stationary storeowner and he had three siblings. He was fascinated by comic books as "Flash Gordon" and "Buck Rogers" in his childhood.

According to the instructions inside his family, George Lucas allowed to enjoy watching the car racing. He was bored of the daily routine of his school. When he enjoyed the excitement he allowed, he dreamt to be a car racer. However, he changed his mind when he had a dangerous traffic accident.

He had that accident three days before the day George Lucas supposed to graduate from Downey High School, Modesto California. He was injured seriously when his car, Fiat Biancina was struck by another student’s car. The traffic accident has changed his life.

Photography attracted George Walton Lucas and he ran after this hobby to fulfil his dreams to become a photographer. When he became 19 years old, Lucas and his friend John Plummer made their way to San Francisco. They enjoyed together different outdoors activities and they had been pioneers in jazz clubs. They followed the news of the Canyon Cinema screening in flyers at the City Lights bookstore. George Lucas as a promising photographer became infatuated with these abstract films.

Following the waves that attracted his passion, George Walton Lucas attended community college and developed a passion for cinematography.

George Walton Lucas, Jr. became American film director and producer, screenwriter and the creator of the Star Wars. Yahoo and MSN say about him "Arguably the most important film innovator in the history of the medium George Lucas continually "pushed the envelope" of filmmaking."

Wikipedia says about George Walton Lucas, "An academy Award-winning American film director, producer, and screenwriter. He is the creator of the epic Star Wars saga and the archaeologist-adventurer character Indiana Jones. Today Lucas is one of the American film industry's most financially successful independent directors/producers with an estimate net worth of $3.6 billion."

George Walton Lucas, was director of so many films, among them was the comedy drama, "American Graffiti" 1973 and the "Star Wars" 1977. He wrote the "American Graffiti" with Gloria Katz and Willard Huyck. Richard Dreyfuss, Ron Howard, Paul Le Mat, Charles Martin Smith, Cindy Williams, Candy Clark, Mackenzie Phillips and Harrison Ford starred the film.

The film was a background story to George Walton Lucas, and his friends featuring the exploits and adventures they lived as teenagers during a night of cursing around town and listening to pirate radio personality Wolfman Jack.

"Star Wars" 1977 is an epic science fiction film. George Walton Lucas, conceived the story of the film during the 1970s and since that date, the Star Wars expanded and produced in episodes.
